PARENT AND LONG-TIME COMMUNITY MEMBER

Drawn to the area by its great schools, my family and I have been a part of the Dry Creek community in Area 1 for sixteen years when our oldest of three children began kindergarten at Dry Creek Elementary. Our youngest is currently a Junior at Oakmont High school, while our other two graduated and are on to new adventures.

Over these years, I have supported our local public schools in meaningful ways, including most recently by serving as a parent representative on the Oakmont High School Site Council, and vice-chair of the Placer County Committee on School District Organization.

EXPERIENCE AND DEDICATION TO
PUBLIC EDUCATION

I had the privilege of serving on the Dry Creek Elementary School District Board for six years (2016-2022) and truly believe that serving on a school board is one of the most meaningful ways to give back to our community.

I served on the Dry Creek Board when we faced unprecedented challenges and were consistently forced to build the airplane while flying it. Because of our efforts during the pandemic, Dry Creek students were among the first public school students in Placer County to go back to in-person instruction, and our Sacramento County Antelope schools were THE FIRST in Sacramento County to return to in-person instruction, which was crucial to student learning and socio-emotional well-being.

In addition to my school board experience, I have dedicated nearly 24 years of my professional career as an attorney for school districts, supporting public education.

My experience working with public schools for over two decades gives me firsthand knowledge of the challenges our teachers and administrators face in providing students with a quality education, and uniquely qualifies me to meaningfully contribute to the District leadership team for the benefit of the students, families, and community it serves.

A NEW VOICE FOR ALL STUDENTS
